WHERE DID WE START FROM?

We had the challenging opportunity to design a support structure for a wood dryer used in bamboo processing in Asia. We had to adhere to Japanese regulations rather than European ones, as in the a previous case-history project. This was a significant challenge in the design process.

We had the challenging opportunity to design a support structure for a bamboo dryer used in wood processing in Asia. We had to adhere to Japanese regulations rather than European ones, as in the a previous case-history project. This was a significant challenge in the design process.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE SOLUTION?

To face this challenge, we developed a new structure adapted to local regulations, adjusting all dimensions appropriately. The specific needs of the plant required modifications to the basic dryer design, resulting in a transformation of its structural framework. We created modules that included one or two fans, modifying the position of pillars and braces to meet the plant’s requirements. Additionally, we designed chimneys and ducts so that they would not interfere with the main structure, effectively turning the structure into support for all the dryer’s interface elements. During the design phase, we also introduced belt conveyors that were not initially planned, completing the plant efficiently.
