What’s plant design about?

Plant design is the core of our business. Poweren delivers to customers a full palette of services: from operational management running professionals, to simulation of the whole machinery life cycle (planning, building, maintenance etc.) thanks to the creation of a smart 3D template. This kind of modus operandi ensures to monitor each step maintaining awareness of the desired final outcome and the chance to consider alternatives ways. Realizing a plant follows a specific and proven process.

1.Planning: a status quo must be analysed combining real data and hypotheses of data to establish a starter template.

2.Designing: this is the most challenging phase when ideas take shape and each detail is perfected. All professionals, from in-house technical designer to external consultants, are requested to get involved to solve any concern.

3.Building: implementation of project procedures, sharing information with professionals and contractors to ensure compliance with requirements in order to achieve the outcome.

4. operational management and maintenance of assets: our model fits all steps from the beginning to all possible future adjustments. Project analysis can also be used in a later stage, for example for an adjustment post construction, a plant revamping or expansion, maintenance or efficient dismantling (if required as per principles of circular economy).

Curtain wall design is a service that we supply to our partners: we cooperate to the development of exterior curtain wall realized with light building envelope, like glass panels.

We can count on the expertise of several teams specialized in different sectors ranging from designing 2D rooms to the development of 3D parametric models, from carpentry design to structural verification.

Thanks to this approach, we offer a continuous support in every stage starting from its first steps, that is, development of 2D architectural plan, to detailed drawing defining each production phase, passing through 3D modelling of all items which will compose the curtain wall (whether panel units or glass panels).

Meanwhile we provide a development and structural verification service on carpentry systems.

Poweren is charged in drafting the technical documentation for any project developed within our studio, and more: we have the required know-how to draft operator’s manuals and technical files for products and equipment which have been previously realized by our customer.

Thanks to Use and Maintenance manual, customer can learn more about safety and intervention procedures, can examine the different phases (design philosophy, transport, installation, assembly, usage, maintenance and dismantling after using) which have to be jointly developed with company managers. Use and Maintenance manual has to list:

  • Explanatory details of the product on how to operate safely;
  • Correct behavior instructions to follow, with particular attention to caution/restriction and indication of residual risks not solved in designing;
  • Understandable language for all users, especially for the final one thanks to user-friendly guidelines.

Drafting of Technical File, of which the Use and Maintenance manual is part of, is a documentation process that progresses as the product generates during its designing, testing, assembly and delivery to the end user.

It includes several documents jointly developed and collected through different phases from drawing to risk analysis, from maintenance procedures to statement of compliance etc.

FEM structural analysis (Finished Elements Method) allows us to test how a system acts while being subjected to external condition of stress such as constraints and loads.

This analysis process embraces 3 different moments:

  • Pre-analysis process: thanks to the knowledge of our Engineers, we are able to switch a real physical situation into a mathematics model.

  • The analysis process: it consists in effectively solving the problem.

  • Post-analysis phase: we elaborate and provide the solution.

Sometimes customer may need an improvement to the existing product or may wish to have it customized. At other times, a brand new item may be requested.

Our Research & Development department gets a request for a new prototype designing and its subsequent realization; the said prototype may become a series product.

The items we currently realized range from stainless steel tanks for food industry to mounting kit Easy Oven, from food truck PanePizza to generator for sanitizing and cleaning solutions like Neboolar.

We dispose of a range of defined template that can be realize upon customer request. If custom production is required, our designers use to consider the best solution and set a project, which will be submitted to the manufacturing department.

As per our working method, we provide to our customer all certification concerning the materials and components used in the process.

What are surveys onsite and 3D scanning?

They are cutting-edge technologies allowing you to have a picture of industrial plants status quo. We have decided to invest on a tool that grant us to improve the quality of our service: thanks to the 3D scanner with integrated spherical imaging and thermographic sensor with panorama function, we are able to realize high precision surveys. This tool permits us to create a database of three-dimensional points that can be interactively consulted and integrated.

Scanner enables you to capture the cloud of points, spherical and thermographic image within less than 3 minutes ensuring an increase in the amount of information. The overall time of onsite surveys depends on the size of the room and on the quantity of objects present in it, anyway this process allows you to have all the information you need to start designing, speeding up times.

The spherical image of the photo is viewed and studied by technical experts who process the survey data. It is subsequently possible to export the final scanning into a wide variety of universal format, as RCP, LGS, E57 and send them into the cloud for a global collaboration in real time.

Having the right equipment is crucial for every competition.
